KINCARDINE, ON, April 8, 2026 — Representatives from OnePoint Association of REALTORS® had the opportunity to present to the Council for the Municipality of Kincardine, continuing their ongoing advocacy work to advance housing solutions across the region.
Representing OnePoint were Charlene Randle-Clayton, a local REALTOR® and member of the Government & External Relations (GER) Committee, and Jennifer Morley, President of OnePoint. Together, they shared insights from our recent report, Building Homes, Strengthening Communities, and discussed how its recommendations can support Kincardine’s efforts to increase housing supply and improve affordability.
During the delegation, OnePoint shared key insights from our Building Homes, Strengthening Communities report, highlighting Kincardine’s strong progress in areas such as digital permitting, housing incentives through its Community Improvement Plan, and a housing-first approach to municipal lands.
Building on this momentum, we outlined practical recommendations to support continued housing development, including expanding as-of-right zoning permissions, formalizing a municipal land strategy, and strengthening coordination through a dedicated housing function.
Our recommendations align closely with the Town’s existing Housing Action Plan and ongoing efforts to reduce barriers and improve development timelines. We appreciate the opportunity to engage with Council and look forward to continuing to work collaboratively to support housing solutions in Kincardine and throughout OnePoint.
